I’m currently in the process of packing up a house I’ve lived in for 13 years to leave a town we’ve been a part of for 14. This community and the friends I have made are incredible and have changed me forever.
Over the past few weeks I’ve had moments of questioning. Why would we leave a life that is so easy and wonderful? And then I realize that life could absolutely stay easy and wonderful, but that along with that ease comes the potential to become stagnant and complacent. Both of which are something I have never been and will fight to never be! So, I’m embracing this change and recognizing the need and desire to step into 2018 in full warrior mode.
We all crave change, but hate to be changed. These two things go hand in hand. The outward change we desire starts within. And all things are pointing to the potential for intense and incredible change. When I read through my news feed I’m overwhelmed by the message that everything is heading in the wrong direction. That the change that is happening is destroying everything I love. I now recognize that this news and that actions being taken are cries for help. These actions are calls to dig deeper into my own motives and intentions. And an incredible call to stay alert, awake, and engaged.
The indigenous prophecy of the eagle and the condoris one that describes the masculine and feminine coming back into balance. A return to a state of active - not passive - harmony. But, it only speaks to the potential. It is up to us to make that prophecy a reality. What role will you play? What do you need to address and shine a light on within yourself, in order to allow you to show up for this task?

When I think about all of the incredible individuals already walking this path, I’m filled with admiration, hope, and power.
As 2018 nears, I’m so ready to take it on head first, show up for every challenge, and express a fierce love for myself and others.
